Staff said the project would install a 90-by-4-foot walking path and a 10-by-10 concrete pad that doubles as an airlift/EMS staging pad in wet conditions, where mud now prevents safe gurney staging. The dog park has seen increased use, staff said, and the small county contribution would allow the nonprofit and county to complete the improvement.
Commissioners expressed appreciation for the nonprofit partnership and asked staff to pass thanks to the volunteer group. Public Works said the contribution would come from REET2 funds and that project paperwork will be scheduled for the regular agenda.
