Barberton City Council holds executive session to consider collective bargaining

Barberton City Council recessed into an executive session at 6:04 p.m. on March 3, 2025, after a request to discuss collective bargaining matters and other matters required to be kept confidential.

The session request was made by Mrs. Eisman, the city’s director of public safety and human resources. Councilman Heideck moved to enter executive session, and Councilwoman Thompson seconded the motion. President Grimm called the roll and announced the motion carried. "The motion entered an executive session carries. We are now on executive session at 06:04PM," President Grimm said.

The council did not discuss the substance of the bargaining issues on the public record; the motion and roll-call result were the only formal public actions recorded before the executive session.
