The resolution, read into the record by Mayor Savarino, notes that Matthew Tax joined the Carol Stream Police Department on June 28, 2004, served in roles including patrol officer, evidence technician, field training officer, tactical detective and rapid deployment instructor, and after 20 years of service has retired. Mayor Savarino read the resolution language that “the services and dedication displayed by Matthew Tax to the village of Carol Stream and his accomplishments in the field of law enforcement are hereby recognized and commended.”
