City staff told the council that the city’s 2025 capital projects financing will go to market this week with underwriter Baird and that council will be notified of pricing at the next regular meeting.
A staff speaker said, “Cassie and I have signed up on on the official statement and, everything is is prepped for Baird to go to market on Wednesday.” The speaker added that the council would receive an email with the results once rates were known and noted that the council set parameters for the financing.
Separately, the Personnel Finance Committee will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday to begin the city manager’s annual evaluation and review progress on city goals. The staff speaker described those two items as tied together: “the city manager's annual evaluation and the review of progress on city goals. Those 2 things really go hand in hand.”
The council’s next regular meeting was announced as two weeks from the session at 6:00 p.m. at Lester Library; the speaker asked whether council members preferred an alternate March date but recorded no change. The meeting record shows no substantive action was taken on financing at this session; the update was informational and the Personnel Finance Committee meeting was scheduled as an administrative step toward the evaluation.
The council also confirmed there would be no closed sessions and then adjourned.
