RCS board appoints Zachary DiSeli as athletic director; approves personnel slate and accepts donations

Board member Ed moved to appoint Zachary DiSeli as Athletic Director; the motion was seconded and the board approved the appointment by voice vote. DiSeli thanked the board: "Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Thank you for the work of Welcome."
The board also approved personnel items 7.2 through 7.7 as a group. The transcript records the accompanying voice votes as "All in favor? Aye. Aye." No roll-call tallies were recorded in the public portion of the minutes.
In informational items the board acknowledged gifts to the district's Backpack Program from Next Step Federal Credit Union and from "CDYMCA Running Start Grama" (as recorded in the meeting packet) and members expressed appreciation. Board members also praised a sports-association donation of a portable scoreboard, which was used at a recent girls' soccer game and described by a parent in the meeting as "phenomenal," and a pitching band that the association donated.
The board president noted the athletic-code-of-conduct item remains under review and will be addressed at a future meeting after staff provides additional information.
The board later moved into executive session for personnel- and confidential-individual matters. The public portion of the meeting ended after the executive-session motion.
