The request was presented by Rachna Balakrishna, who told the board the developer was seeking additional time “due to the high interest rates at the moment and the cost of financing.” She said the permit had been recorded on Feb. 16, 2022, and the applicant sought a three-year extension from the expiration of the current time period.
Board Chair Johanna Schneider confirmed legal authority under applicable state regulations to grant extensions of previously issued comprehensive permits. Member Waddner Ojeg moved to grant the extension; Member Jesse Geller seconded. The board recorded a roll-call vote and approved the extension unanimously.
The extension preserves the applicant’s timeline while the developer continues planning and financing steps. No further conditions or additional documentation were requested at the hearing; the board moved on to the next agenda item after the vote.
The hearing minutes show the extension request was discussed as a discrete procedural matter early in the evening and resulted in a formal motion and roll-call vote.
