Woodstock council handles consent agenda, minutes and retreats into executive session; item 5 tabled

The Mayor and Council of Woodstock conducted routine business Feb. 24, including tabling one consent item, approving the rest of the consent agenda, adopting meeting minutes and moving into executive session.

Councilman Usher moved to table consent agenda item 5 because staff had not completed the item; Councilman Wolf seconded and the item was tabled (the minutes record the item was tabled). The council then voted to approve consent agenda items 8-1 through 8-4. The motion to approve the consent agenda, moved by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman Aik, carried 6 to 0.

Council approved several sets of minutes by voice vote. The minutes for the Feb. 10 meeting were approved 5 to 0 with one abstention recorded for Councilmember Potts; other minutes votes were recorded 6-0. Later in the meeting council voted unanimously, 6-0, to move into executive session to discuss real estate, employment matters and litigation; a later motion to return from executive session also passed 6-0. The meeting was adjourned following a 6-0 vote on a motion to adjourn.
