Mayor reports Carlo and Ronzelli park upgrades; pickleball courts near completion

The mayor said the park has been busier than anticipated and that the new courts should be operational in about three to four weeks. “They should be done in the next 3 weeks … In 4 weeks, they should be operational,” the mayor said, adding the administration will initially avoid charging for court reservations unless additional personnel are required.
At Ronzelli Park the city removed three old racquetball walls and replaced that space with up to two pickleball courts and professional-grade basketball courts. The mayor said the grassy gathering area adjacent to courts will be replaced with concrete and drainage to prevent mud problems during large events such as Fourth of July celebrations. He said maintenance staff increased the home dugout capacity and that discussions about a scoreboard remain pending.
