A staff member said organizers distributed spay-and-neuter vouchers at a Lubbock event and offered free rabies vaccinations and microchipping to animals that receive a voucher.
The staff member said the vouchers are valid at three clinics — Live Oak South, The Pets Clinic and Kingsgate Clinic — and cover spay and neuter services for dogs and cats, male or female. "This is our spay and neuter event. We're giving out vouchers today. They're for 3 different clinics, Live Oak South, the pets clinic, and Kingsgate clinic," the staff member said.
The staff member said a veterinarian was on site to provide free rabies shots and free microchipping for any animals that receive a spay/neuter voucher. "So if you come and you need a rabies vaccine, we'll go ahead and vaccinate for free. We will also be microchipping free of charge today. Any animals that get a spay neuter voucher. They're done. Yeah," the staff member said.
The staff member said the event had a large turnout and that 200 vouchers were available. "Today we have a big, big turnout, and so we have 200 available. If you get out here and you don't get 1 today, we will give you a VIP card for our next event where you're gonna be first in line and and get that voucher you need," the staff member said.
Organizers did not specify eligibility criteria, cost of the procedures to voucher holders, or whether vouchers are limited by clinic capacity. The staff member did not provide a contact name or an address for the event on the record.
