The commissioners also approved an appointment in the prosecuting attorney’s office — a legal assistant — with a recorded outcome of two votes in favor and one abstention from Commissioner Fulmer, who said earlier she would abstain on matters relating to the prosecuting-attorney office "to avoid any appearance of impropriety."
