County approves fire‑alarm detection for District Court, starts courthouse historic nomination and extends accessible counter

Third, the board considered an item to install updated flex‑panel signage at 500 West Main. Commissioners asked for more research and tabled that procurement to explore lower‑cost or digital alternatives and to confirm fiber/power and long‑term signage plans.
Finally, the board approved a smaller, operational modification to extend the accessible counter to the wall at 500 West Main to provide more usable front‑line counter space and to address ADA requirements. Elected office staff said the extension will ease customer service flow and increase a workable area for staff who handle large recorded documents.
