Clallam County staff told commissioners Feb. 18 they will sign updated local-interest agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportation for two road projects after WSDOT changed its forms in December.
The items cover repaving the full length of South Airport Road and replacement of columns on a slip-bridge. Staff said the projects themselves have not changed; the county must re-submit updated forms because WSDOT will not accept prior versions. The only substantive change staff identified in the new form was an update to the single-audit threshold, which increased from $750,000 to $1,000,000.
Commissioners indicated no objections and staff said they will execute the updated agreements next week to preserve the projects' funding and schedule.
Staff emphasized the update is administrative and does not change project scope or funding; the county will continue with project delivery under WSDOT's updated forms.
