Salish BHASO briefs Clallam County on crisis services, naloxone distribution and opioid‑abatement role

Jolene, executive director of the Salish Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization (BHASO), briefed the Clallam County Board of Commissioners at a Feb. 10 work session on the BHASO’s current programs, funding sources, naloxone distribution and its role administering regional opioid‑abatement funds.
The BHASO covers Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties and operates by interlocal agreement with the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe. Jolene told commissioners the organization manages the crisis continuum (crisis line services, mobile crisis outreach and involuntary treatment management), coordinates care for underinsured non‑Medicaid residents, and administers supplemental legislative provisos and pilot programs the state routes through BHASOs.
“Our funding currently, so this year's non Medicaid funding is $17,472,560, and then we also get about 3,800,000.0 from Medicaid,” Jolene said during her presentation.
