Clallam County officials said Feb. 18 they will sign a three-month, no-cost extension to a Department of Ecology grant and the subaward with Washington State University so staff can finish invoicing and final reports.
The extension covers delayed invoicing and minor changes to deliverable reporting after a lengthy subaward negotiation with WSU, county staff said. "The subaward with WSU took quite long. It's done. So invoicing and billing was delayed, and, so this allows us just to get all that and to get our report," a staff member said.
Commissioners did not raise objections; staff said they will execute the amendment next week. The project itself, staff said, concluded in December and the extension is solely to close out financial and reporting obligations.
No formal vote tally was recorded in the transcript; commissioners indicated consensus to sign the extension at the next signature session.
The item originated as an administrative close-out of a Department of Ecology grant with a WSU subaward and does not change the project scope or budget, staff said.
