Planning staff recommended the rezoning, saying the request is consistent with the commercial character of the area and recommending that development adhere to the site plan on file with the Division of Planning and Development; the director or designee may authorize technical adjustments. Miss Tann, planning staff, presented the recommendation.
The applicant, Yibo, identified himself as an owner of the property and thanked the board, saying the change would "allow us a chance to provide more service for the local people in the area." No opposition was recorded on the item.
Miss Cobb moved approval and Miss Hyatt seconded; the board held a voice vote and the chair announced the motion passed. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
The rezoning approval is conditioned on adherence to the site plan on file; the director may authorize adjustments for technical or engineering considerations discovered during development.
