The Oconee County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Commission voted unanimously to change its regular meeting time from noon to 10:00 a.m. on its scheduled meeting dates beginning May 1, pending confirmation from the county clerk that the room and notice changes are permissible.
Staff told commissioners the schedule is traditionally set at the November meeting but agreed to bring the timing up for a change because of membership turnover and scheduling conflicts. One commissioner asked staff to confirm room availability and that the clerk can republish the meeting notice; staff said they would check with the clerk and publish an amended advertisement to the paper if allowable.
The motion to change the meeting time carried unanimously during the Feb. 27 meeting, and staff said they would notify members and post updates; implementation depends on the clerk’s confirmation and the county’s public-notice procedures.
Ending If approved administratively, the commission’s next meeting will move to 10 a.m. on the same scheduled dates beginning May 1.
