Participants will build “rain chains” from recycled spoons as a hands‑on project. Poole said supplies were estimated at $2,036, the program total was stated during the presentation as $3,136 (the speaker corrected interim numbers during remarks), staff in‑kind match was $1,100 for staff time, and the grant application filed requests $2,000. Poole said the library’s out‑of‑pocket cash cost would be $36 plus operating costs for the program supplies; Poole stated the out‑of‑pocket total as $36.
Councilman Hudson moved and Councilwoman Wessinger seconded the motion to approve the application; the committee voted in favor.
