Council hears MKSK plan for Pepper Pike Park, delays contract decision

MKSK, a planning and landscape architecture firm, told Pepper Pike City Council on Feb. 25 that it can produce a community-driven master plan for Pepper Pike Park and a nearby vacant parcel, but councilors delayed authorizing the work so members could review the proposal.
The council presentation focused on a two-track engagement and deliverables approach. "This proposal is, as requested, like, a holistic approach, putting together a stakeholder engagement plan," said Susie Mauer, a representative of MKSK. She said MKSK’s higher-tier option would include a public open house with design concepts, charrettes and an online engagement platform; the firm would synthesize feedback into a vetted master plan suitable for later design development.
