Gainesville council approves minutes, declares surplus property for sale

The Gainesville Mayor and Council approved the consent agenda Tuesday, including acceptance of the minutes from the Jan. 16 work session and the Jan. 21 mayor and council meeting and passage of BR2025‑07, a declaration of surplus property.
City Manager Bridal Lackey summarized the surplus item, saying staff had identified city property beyond its useful life and recommended placing the items for sale on the GovDeals online auction platform. With council approval, staff said the surplus items would be posted for sale the following day.
Council members voted unanimously on the minutes and on the surplus declaration. No public comment was registered on the consent agenda items at the time of the vote.
