Staff told the council the work was discussed during the capital budget process and will evaluate the existing sanitary collection system, identify where improvements are necessary and model needs to handle anticipated growth toward the west side of the city. Council members moved and seconded the resolution; a roll-call vote approved it. There were no public comments recorded during the item.
The contract will fund flow-monitoring equipment deployment and hydraulic modeling work to inform capital planning, system improvements and capacity decisions. The meeting record did not provide a project schedule or multi-year funding breakdown beyond the contract ceiling of $225,000.
