Madison County opens bids for 2025 seal-coat LME project; lowest bid $2.32 million

County staff confirmed that bid bonds were included with the submissions. “If I’m correct, all bid bonds are included,” a staff member said, adding that a review group will check each submission against the solicitation.
“We have a group that will review all of the bids that were submitted and compare them to what was requested, and then we will send out a a bid award and a contract,” a staff member said. The speaker added the county uses a template contract and that bidders with contact information in the packet will receive written notice if they receive the award.
County staff said the Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on a contract at its meeting on Monday, March 3, at 6 p.m. No formal award or contract was announced at the bid opening.
The bid opening focused on price tabulation and administrative completeness; bidders’ responsiveness to technical specifications and references will be evaluated during the county’s review process.
