CPUC releases draft 2025 IRP inputs and assumptions, seeks informal comments by March 7

The California Public Utilities Commission on a recorded Webex workshop presented a draft 2025 Inputs and Assumptions document that staff plans to use in modeling and analysis for the 2024–26 IRP cycle. Jared Ferguson, supervisor for the IRP planning and modeling team, opened the workshop and said staff is “seeking stakeholders’ informal comments, by March 7.”
The draft INA summarizes the data, assumptions and modeling methods staff will use to develop the 2026 Preferred System Plan and subsequent transmission planning portfolios.
