The Apple Valley City Council on Feb. 27 adopted a resolution approving an on-sale wine and beer license for Easy Adventure LLC, which will operate as Urban Air Apple Valley at 7370 150th Street West.
City staff told the council the public hearing on the license had been properly noticed and that police and fire background checks yielded no reason to deny the application. With no public comment at the hearing, Councilmember Bergman moved to adopt the resolution, Councilmember Hebert seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote.
After the vote, business owner Wes Harold introduced himself and described the indoor recreation facility, saying Urban Air offers trampolines, a zip line, climbing walls, birthday-party space and a cafe serving pizza and wings. Harold said parents will be allowed to purchase a glass of wine or beer while children use the play areas. He also announced a friends-and-family event the next day, a soft opening “Saturday the first,” and a planned grand opening on March 22.
City staff said the application was for an on-sale wine and beer license and that required background checks by the police and fire departments had been completed. Staff recommended adoption of the resolution after the public hearing; council members voted in favor without further questions.
The council did not attach conditions beyond standard licensing and public-safety reviews. The applicant will proceed with required permitting and operational steps before the public grand opening.
The council moved quickly through the item; public comment was not offered during the hearing.
Wes Harold, the applicant, provided handouts about the friends-and-family and soft-opening events and said registration was available via a QR code on the flyers.
