Oak Creek Plan Commission recommended that the Common Council rezone the city-owned parcel at 10523 South Howell Avenue from A-1 limited agricultural to M-1 manufacturing district and amend the Oakview Business Park planned unit development to include the parcel.
Staff said the city purchased the parcel in December, the house on the lot has been demolished, and the change would make the site available for future business-park development consistent with the comprehensive land-use plan. A public hearing before the Common Council could be scheduled as early as March 31.
The commission had no substantive objections and voted via roll call to recommend the rezoning and planned-unit-development amendment to the council for a public hearing and final action.
