Redkay said he is a licensed pilot since 1992, has rented a hangar from the city for about 10–12 years and previously worked for commissioner Rob Levin at Levin’s company. He said he learned after submitting his application that he may not live within the urban boundary required by the application and that his city business license is not currently active. "I just wanted to offer my services if I could help in any way," Redkay said.
Commission staff told Redkay they would double-check the residency requirement and follow up. No appointment or formal action was taken at the meeting.
