Yukon Main Street board approves annual calendar and accepts Jan. 22 minutes

The Yukon Route 66 Main Street Association board voted to accept the minutes from its Jan. 22 meeting and approved the association's annual activities calendar during its monthly meeting at the Centennial Building.

The actions formalized routine association business and gave staff authority to finalize dates for events listed on the calendar. Vicki Davis, Yukon Main Street director, asked members to review the calendar for date-sensitive activities and trainings before giving final approval.

Davis said the calendar collects the association's approved activities and required trainings and noted there are “1 or 2 things that may still have a question mark by it, but that is just gonna have to be added in, as far as the exact date.” She added, “I think the important thing is that once this is approved by you, that any changes to the date or to the specific activity … individual points would need to bring back to the board for approval.”

Minutes and calendar were adopted by voice vote; no individual roll-call votes or vote tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript. The board chair called for ayes and, hearing none opposed, declared both motions approved.

The director's report that accompanied the calendar highlighted Yukon Main Street's recent participation in an Oklahoma Main Street affiliate forum and follow-up coordination with city public works. Davis said information gathered at the forum will benefit Yukon’s programming and invited board members to help prepare nominations for the Oklahoma Main Street Awards, which are due before the board's next meeting.
