Board agrees to pursue OSBA business honor roll nominations, sets internal process

Board member Dr. Kopas told the Hamilton City School Board on Feb. 27 that the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) offers a business honor roll the district can use to recognize local businesses that have supported schools.
“I'd like to see us pursue it,” Dr. Kopas said, offering to complete the paperwork if the board wanted to move forward. He cited a submission timeline that includes a March 27 deadline.
Board members said they supported pursuing nominations and asked colleagues to email candidate names so the board could review them at a work session before the deadline. Mr. Davidson and others said the district has many eligible businesses and deciding which to recognize in a given year will require selection criteria and rotation.
No formal vote was taken. Dr. Kopas volunteered to fill out the required online paperwork if the board agreed to submit nominations.
