At a Feb. 26 work session, the Lawrenceburg City Board of Public Works and Safety approved a recommendation to separate an employee from city employment for cause, the board recorded.
Attorney Dale Weldon told the board the recommendation was a joint one from the mayor's court treasurer and the city's human resources office and followed HR efforts that included a performance-improvement plan. "[T]he individual, in question be, separated from employment for cause," Weldon said while presenting the recommendation to the board.
After Weldon presented the recommendation, the board moved to approve it. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote; the transcript records multiple "Aye" responses and the presiding official declared the motion carries. The meeting record does not name who made the motion or who seconded it, and no roll-call vote tally was recorded in the transcript.
Following the vote, the board moved to adjourn the work session and did so by voice vote.
The board identified in the transcript as present during the roll call included Board member Tommy Roulette; Board member Brett Mondorant; Attorney Dale Weldon; President Kellen (as recorded in the roll call); the roll-call respondent identified as Mr. Fedde; and the presiding official, who is addressed as mayor in the transcript. The transcript does not provide the name of the employee or additional details about the personnel matter.
