Committee member Eric said he updated last year’s spreadsheet and flyer and recommended capping volunteers at about 20 to keep the event manageable for police logistics and on-site coordination. “I think anything more than 20 is gonna be… more than the police officers are gonna wanna manage at any time,” Eric said.
Eric said organizers collected about 200 pounds of trash at last year’s cleanup and suggested repeating a post-cleanup lunch; he estimated a modest food budget of roughly $80–$100 plus any police-detail fees. Park and Recreation and DPW provided bags and gloves last year and are expected to help again if given advance notice, committee members said.
The committee plans to finalize a date, notify police for a detail, coordinate routes and publicize sign-ups; no formal vote was taken.
