The Woodland Park City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 26 to approve the January statement of expenditures and authorize the mayor to sign warrants in payment, and to award a contract to Lamb Excavating for $74,269.05 to install a fire supply line for the U Pass Cultural Center.
Council considered the two consent items together. The consent calendar included (a) approval of the January statement of expenditures and authorization for the mayor to sign warrants and (b) approval of a contract between Lamb Excavating and the City of Woodland Park in the amount of $74,269.05 for a fire supply line for the U Pass Cultural Center.
A member of the public, Debbie Miller, president of the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Residence, said she had observed the work and praised the contractor and city staff: "your contractor, your subcontractors, and your city staff have been so professional. I've gotten to witness day to day the progress, and I wanna share with you and share with the city, how wonderful it's been to see this..." Miller said she was looking forward to the building reopening.
Suzanne took the roll call vote. The recorded vote was yes from Case, Nakai, Baldwin, Gear, Harvey, Jones and Smith; the mayor declared the motion carried unanimously.
Why it matters: the contract funds enable installation of a fire supply line tied to reopening the U Pass Cultural Center, a local facility. The expenditures approval authorizes normal operational payments.
No amendments or conditions were recorded as part of the vote.
