Commissioner 1, Commissioner, said the survey would be developed with the county administrator and posted on the county website so any resident could complete it. "I'd I'd ask the the board for permission to work with the county administrator to devise a a survey that we could put online on our website, an armed survey that any resident can go on our website, click on the link, take the survey of of determined questions, and then analyze those answers," Commissioner 1 said.
Commissioner 1 said the survey would let the commission quantify interests — for example, how many people prioritize roads — and provide a channel for residents who do not attend public hearings. "It would give the the public an opportunity to to, voice their opinion. We'd get some feedback from the public without having full on, public hearings, which a lot of people tend not to come to," Commissioner 1 said.
Commissioner 1 also asked that paper copies be available at meetings for residents without internet access and suggested completed paper surveys could be returned to the human resource director, the county administrator (Jason), or the county clerk. "Do we have some handouts here at the meetings? For those that don't have Internet access. They can easily get a paper copy and turn it into, the human resource director or Jason or even the county clerk," he said.
Commissioner 2 responded that the commission could do a trial run and circulate a draft to commissioners for input before finalizing the questions. "We could do a trial run, and you send it to the commissioners and and and, you know, see what if I know they got a question they wanna add to it or take away from it," Commissioner 2 said.
