Trophy Club EDC to join March 10 work session on small‑area plan; McAdams to present scenarios

The Trophy Club Economic Development Corporation agreed to participate in a joint work session with Town Council on March 10 to present and discuss a draft small‑area plan prepared by consultant McAdams.
EDC staff said McAdams will present two versions of the plan — a base scenario and an edited scenario that incorporates EDC input — along with feasibility information, building square footage and height details and a market analysis. The meeting will follow a 7 p.m. Town Council meeting and is expected to start around 7:30 p.m.; EDC members were asked to be available and to contribute their perspective as the group that led the plan’s vision.
“McAdams is going to bring the feasibility as EDC requested. They will also have a secondary scenario that shows what EDC input was from the last session,” the EDC staff member said. The staff member told members that council members had requested a work session because the prior presentation contained too much material and not enough time for council discussion.
Board members asked about scope items not currently included, such as three‑dimensional renderings. Staff noted that 3‑D visualization was not part of the original contract and that the council would need to discuss whether to spend additional funds to add renderings. One EDC member urged emphasizing that the plan is a road map, not a fixed blueprint: the market and investor interest will determine final outcomes.
The EDC was also asked to prepare concise talking points for the joint session that explain why the plan looks as it does and to highlight the work EDC provided during the planning process.
Staff said the joint meeting provides an opportunity for EDC to present local context and the rationale for EDC‑recommended edits while McAdams answers technical questions on feasibility and market assumptions. The EDC will return any additional feedback from members who could not attend the earlier meeting for inclusion in the March 10 session.
