Public Service Commission approves minutes, multiple notices and directs grant scope change; reopens dockets for comment

The Public Service Commission on Feb. 27, 2025, approved routine minutes and a series of procedural motions and directed staff action on several dockets.

The commission unanimously approved the minutes of the open meeting held Feb. 20, 2025, then approved notices of investigation associated with agenda items 2 through 5 and a notice of proceeding associated with agenda item 6. The commission also approved an order to reopen notice and request for comment in docket 5820 UR 117.

In docket 9709FG2022 the commission provided direction to the delegated commissioner to approve a scope change to an existing grant agreement consistent with the commission secretary's description. The scope change, as described in the agenda, scales back the existing scope of work by removing "micro micro bridal controls" at the Public Safety Center and reduces the award amount: staff were directed to adjust the grant award to a maximum of $250,000 for activity 1, less previously paid reimbursements.

The commission moved and approved the issuance of an order to reopen and request for comment in docket 137CE205 describing the commission's intent to modify its final decision by removing order condition 8 in its entirety consistent with alternative 1 in the commission memo. The motion also directed that if comments in opposition are received the matter be returned to the commission; if no opposing comments are filed, the commission secretary is directed to sign a final decision reopening and removing order condition 8 while leaving all other aspects of the Jan. 31, 2025 final decision in effect.

All motions recorded on the public transcript were approved with the formulaic verbal vote "All in favor. Aye." The meeting transcript does not record individual roll-call votes or dissenting votes.
