The Scottsburg City Board of Public Works and Safety approved an agreement with Scott County Youth that the mayor and staff said is intended to clarify liability and support ongoing field renovations at Windsor-Gram.
Mayor Amick and board members discussed which fields the youth group uses and confirmed the agreement does not cover the Nassau field where other teams play. A board member said the agreement addresses insurance and the city’s insurance agent requested more specific language about liability. The mayor said the city is undertaking a major renovation at Windsor-Gram, including field work and lighting.
Tom Lewis moved to approve the Scott County Youth agreement; Karen seconded. The board approved the agreement by voice vote with three ayes.
The agreement was described as an annual practice meant to satisfy insurance requirements; the board did not adopt additional conditions during the meeting.
