Judge sentences Crystal Molina to probated two-year state jail term and orders restitution

Under the plea terms and the court’s order, Molina faces a $2,000 probated fine and 200 hours of community service restitution (100 hours of community service to be waived if she enrolls in higher education or obtains a vocational certificate such as welding). The court ordered regular reporting to probation (by Zoom or in person), random UAs, proof of employment within 45 days and restricted employment: she may not work where she would handle others’ funds or in home healthcare or jobs involving minors or the elderly.
The judge also required a payment schedule to be set and directed the state’s representative to ensure the $5,000 cashier’s check be applied to restitution. The court warned that missed restitution payments would prompt compliance hearings. The probation conditions include monthly field visits for six months and a requirement that Molina provide evidence (employment, SSI) if claiming inability to work.
