A council member moved the revision "that the Metropolitan Council approve a revision to the housing choice voucher administrative plan to add the following waiting list preference. The public housing agency, PHA, will offer a preference for 10% of waiting list placements to households whose head identifies as American Indian." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting.
Staff emphasized timing: because the Community Development Committee meeting had been canceled and the HRA plans to open the waiting list in April, the Council advanced the item to allow communications and application preparations to reflect the new preference.
