District operations staff said the breach occurred at PowerSchool and was not the district’s fault. PowerSchool has acknowledged responsibility, staff said, and will contact each person whose information was compromised to provide details and next steps, including free credit monitoring for up to two years for affected individuals. The district said it has engaged legal counsel and will send its own notices after coordination with its attorneys.
