Representatives for electronics manufacturer Molex presented three exhibits and described updated maps during a continued DuPage County hearing on whether walking paths can be treated as a principal recreational use.
The hearing officer, speaking at the start of the proceeding, summarized the item as a request to “conditionally, allow a principal recreational use for walking paths,” and said the case was continued from a prior hearing and that new, clearer exhibits had been requested. The officer accepted three documents into the record: a narrative (exhibit 1), a site plan (exhibit 2) and a sketch showing parcel PIN numbers (exhibit 3).
Jeff Pleiter, an authorized representative for Molex with Patrick Engineering, said his office prepared the three exhibits. Pleiter gave the office address as 55 East Monroe, Chicago, Illinois. Eddie Ocegura, facilities manager for Molex, and Alyssa Garcia, facilities coordinator for Molex, also identified themselves for the record.
Pleiter said he had not attended the previous hearing; Ocegura confirmed he had. Garcia said the applicant had provided updated materials since the last meeting. “We updated some of the requests that we had last time, so a better map,” Garcia said. Pleiter and Molex staff indicated the updated map and the other exhibits supplemented testimony taken at the earlier hearing.
No final decision was made at the session. The hearing officer closed the public portion of the case and told the applicant representatives, “you'll get a decision in the next couple of weeks.”
The record indicates the case remains under review; staff or the hearing body did not announce a vote or adopt conditions at the meeting.
