Chad Macklin, director of career and technical education, was recognized after the resolution reading for being named a 2026 Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Association for Career and Technical Education; board members praised CTE staff and the program's community partnerships.
Board action: A motion to adopt the resolution carried on roll call; Dot Heffron (participating remotely) and the four board members in the room recorded "aye" and the chair announced the resolution had been adopted.
