Tallmadge City Council on Feb. 27 confirmed three appointments to the city's claims commission for two-year terms, including community appointee Monica Caruso and two council representatives.

The mayor said the appointments follow the city code section 155.01 governing the composition of the claims commission and that one seat is the finance chair with a second council seat to be filled by council. Council made a joint motion to confirm the three nominees and approved the appointments by a 7-0 roll-call vote.

Council did not amend the appointments; the clerk will update the commission roster and the city will record the appointments for the two-year terms.
