Prince George County School Board members voted on multiple personnel recommendations taken from closed session, approved a process to add a student representative for the 2025–26 school year and approved a memorandum of understanding for adult education.
The board unanimously approved motions to enter and later exit closed session under Virginia Code § 2.2-3711 to discuss personnel, student discipline and a legal matter. After the closed session the board certified that only permitted topics were discussed and then voted on specific personnel recommendations identified by agenda codes (P15, P18, P29, P30, P31, P32 and others). Several motions to accept personnel recommendations were moved and seconded by board members and passed by roll call with all members voting "yes." For clarity, the board recorded each item by its agenda identifier and applied the recommendations as presented.
The board also approved: the meeting agenda for Feb. 10; minutes from the Jan. 13 regular meeting and the Jan. 27 special work session; and the consent agenda. In separate action items the board moved an adult-education memorandum of understanding to the action docket, then approved the adult-education MOU for the period indicated; and approved starting the process to select a student school-board representative for the 2025–26 school year.
A final certification motion recorded the board's acceptance of a recommendation to appoint a person to the chief financial officer position (matters listed as P28 and P33 in board materials); that appointment was approved by roll call.
