Bringing figures to the public, Bramley said the city expects debris removal costs of about $4.9 million (already partially offset by an expedited FEMA payment of $2.4 million) and that the bulk of remaining storm-related costs—approximately $19.1 million—will be reimbursed at roughly 75% from FEMA, 12.5% from the state of Florida and 12.5% from the city, leaving an estimated city cash outlay of about $2.3 million.
