Board approves consent agenda; staff reports audits up to date and GFOA budget award

The Wellington Town Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda on Feb. 25, which included the Feb. 11, 2025 board meeting minutes and a resolution adjusting appropriations for the Town of Wellington’s fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2025, and ending Dec. 31, 2025.
A trustee moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with all members present voting yes.
During staff reports, the town administrator reported that the 2022 audit has been completed and that the finance director, Nick Redevat, will present the audit on March 11. The administrator also said the 2023 audit is underway and that town staff expect to be current on audits by July 31. The administrator announced Wellington received its second Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) budget award for its budget document and said staff will issue a press release.
Trustees congratulated staff and thanked department leaders and finance staff for the work on the audits and the award.
