Doña Ana County pilots public‑use laptops, reaffirms Radium Springs fire station staffing; employees recognized

Doña Ana County announced a pilot to provide public‑use laptops at county community centers, a program the county said is intended to help residents apply for jobs, complete school work, access telehealth and connect with government services. County staff from information technology and the Department of Health and Human Services are running the pilot, the recap said.
Interim Fire Chief Eric Crispin addressed recent rumors and confirmed that Fire Station 30 in Radium Springs is open and remains staffed. The chief’s remarks were presented as reassurance that the county continues to staff emergency services for the community.
The county also noted upcoming employee appreciation events in March and recognized the February Employees of the Month — the building attendants in the facilities and services department — and announced the retirement of Deputy Manuel Maines after 29 years of service to Doña Ana County and the Sheriff's Office.
