The applicant said the new windows would be “vinyl‑clad” with wood on the interior and that the color would be white; the applicant said they would try to preserve the existing trim but would reinstall matching trim if it must be removed during installation. The applicant also said a contractor will inspect the openings after approval to determine whether windows can be inserted from the inside or require removal of existing trim. The applicant described the existing gutters as “not sloped right… dented up… a mess,” and said the project would use on‑site formed continuous gutters rather than pieced sections.
A motion to approve application CA25-4 passed on a roll call vote. Linda Boving, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, voted yes; David Craycraft, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, voted yes; Pete Lynch, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, voted yes; Patrick Lynch, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, abstained; Whit Wardell, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, voted yes; and Roger White, member of the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission, voted yes. Tally: 5 yes, 0 no, 1 abstention.
The commission concluded the item after the vote. Staff noted the project had previously received facade grant support from the CWICC; no dollar amount was specified in the meeting record.
