Council approves reappointments to nine advisory committees; Arts & Culture deferred

The Woodside Town Council on Feb. 11 voted to approve reappointments and applicant recommendations for nine town advisory committees, and tabled action on the Arts & Culture Committee for a future meeting.
The council, led by Mayor Domkowski and Mayor Pro Tem Gold, approved reappointments and the recommended new applicants for the circulation, climate and sustainability, emergency preparedness, environment and open space, Livestock and Equestrian Heritage, recreation, trails, volunteer liaison and engagement, and history committees. Mayor Pro Tem Gold moved to accept the slate and the council adopted the motion by roll call.
The council did not act on the Arts & Culture Committee at the request of staff and council members, who said administrative issues remain to be resolved; that item will return to a future agenda.
Council members emphasized that some committees are being asked to take on event responsibilities (for example, the recreation committee and town events such as the May Day parade) and asked staff to clarify roles and support. Council member Wall, who serves on the appointments subcommittee, asked the Arts & Culture representative to provide follow-up information about attendance and succession planning by email.
The motion passed on roll call with all five members voting yes (Council member Abarish; Council member Brown; Council member Gold; Council member Wall; Mayor Domkowski).
