A representative of GameTime presented playground replacement options for Preserve Park at the Feb. 20 workshop and described inclusive equipment and data-reporting features. Natalia Cuervo, representing GameTime (through Domenico Recreation products), said a three-area proposal — for 2-5 and 5-12 play areas plus the kid course — would total about $210,000, using either wood fiber or the existing rubber surface.
Commissioners and staff recalled prior work on a broader Preserve Park revitalization plan, including previous grant research and state compliance work. Several commissioners said an earlier multi-year effort to update the park had stalled and asked staff to re-present the plan with updated cost estimates and grant opportunities. Commissioners emphasized affordability and phased approaches such as keeping existing rubber surfacing where practical.
No contracts or grants were approved at the workshop. The commission directed staff to refresh the prior plan, verify available grants, and return with updated proposals and costs. GameTime said the company can provide a cooperative purchasing discount (through Omnia Partners) that may reduce procurement costs.
