Port Richey — The Port Richey City Council on Feb. 25 adopted an ordinance that bans public camping or sleeping on city property, approved a financing agreement to acquire a new Pierce Sabre pumper for the fire department and tabled consideration of an interlocal dispatch agreement with Pasco County until a future meeting.
The ordinance (No. 25-729) was read a second time and approved after no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The council also approved Resolution No. 25-20, authorizing the city to enter a lease-to-own financing arrangement for the new pumper with US Bancorp Government Leasing and Financing. The council approved routine business items, including minutes from Nov. 26, 2024, and Feb. 11, 2025, and the consent agenda.
