Council grants Wild Wing access easement for existing monument and irrigation infrastructure

Timnath approved a housekeeping access easement at Wild Wing Park to allow the metropolitan district and homeowners’ district to maintain existing irrigation lines and the monument sign; staff said the improvements were paid for by the district and no compensation is required.
The Town Council voted Feb. 25 to approve Resolution No. 17, Series 2025, authorizing an access easement to allow maintenance of existing infrastructure on town-owned Wild Wing Park property. Staff described the item as legal housekeeping: the irrigation line and monument sign were installed previously by the developer and paid for by the Metropolitan District.
Under the approved access easement the district can perform repair, replacement and maintenance of the existing irrigation and sign improvements so long as any work requiring disturbance is restored to pre-construction condition. Staff said there was no compensation associated with this easement because the improvements were already installed and paid for by the district; the property was previously deeded to the town.
Council approved the resolution by voice vote, 4-0.
