Elections lease: The commission approved issuing a 60‑day notice to terminate the elections building rental at 133 South Court Square (effective 03/01/2025 with a vacate date of 04/30/2025) so elections staff can consolidate space following completion of a new elections facility. County staff told the board that the new space was progressing rapidly and that security requirements will be met by the move; the board authorized the chairman to sign the termination letter.
EMS stretcher purchase: The board approved purchasing a power stretcher and cot for a new ambulance box remount, with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $63,317 from Custom Truck and Body Works. Staff said the item is in the EMS equipment budget line and noted worker‑safety concerns and recent lifting injuries; the system will reduce manual lifting strain and assist safe loading/unloading of patients. Commissioners required an updated quote dated near the purchase and authorized the chair to sign the purchase documentation.
Minutes and procedural approvals: The board also addressed and approved corrections and rescissions of previously approved minutes (multiple special‑call and regular meeting minutes) to align attendance records and comply with procedures; those minute approvals were handled by motion and passed.
